Intended Outcomes

By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

  • Plan the development of teams and individuals through induction, appraisal, problem solving, coaching, delegation and teambuilding
  • Develop employees' performance by setting SMART goals, providing effective feedback and action planning
  • Understand what teamwork means, the stages of team development, when teamwork is important and methods of dealing with conflict in teams
  • Prepare for and manage challenging conversations with direct reports
  • Discover how to focus people more effectively on their performance by examining each phase of the performance management cycle
  • Implement strategies, tools and processes to help manage talent and performance
