Introduction to e-Assessment/e-Feedback/e-Marking

Introduction to e-Assessment/e-Feedback/e-Marking

Brief Outline:

Middlesex University started the move to a process of e-Assessment, e-Marking and e-Feedback in 2010 and by the time My Learning was introduced as our new learning platform in 2013 all undergraduate and many postgraduate programmes had ceased requiring students to submit hard copies of coursework (there are some exceptions). It has been noted that the volume of coursework and assessments being submitted to Unihelp is on the increase, simultaneously there are many new technologies and tools available to facilitate the online submission of assessments and to help you manage online marking and feedback quickly and easily.

This workshop will give participants the opportunity to consider a range of My Learning (and other) tools to support e-Assessment, e-Marking and e-Feedback and provide the opportunity to discuss which technologies and methods best apply to their module(s).

This session does not include hands-on practice, though participants are free to bring laptops/tablets. The facilitators will demonstrate a range of tools and signpost further resources and training opportunities. Please feel free to contact Kirsteen or Katerina in advance with questions you have and we will endeavour to cover them in the session. We will be in touch with participants nearer the time with more information so please sign-up now.
