Brief Outline

To provide an overview of the essential responsibilities of a line manager at Middlesex University

Intended Outcomes

By the end of the course delegates will:

  • Be aware of key HR policies and procedures in respect of: recruitment, probation and induction; performance management; absence management and work life balance

  • Understand how to find relevant information and when to refer to HRS

  • Understand how PAFIS Manager Self Service can support a manager

  • Be aware of further development opportunities for managers

This course supports Level 2 Value Indicators for Leadership Model attributes Drive for Results and Leading and Developing People

Target Audience

All managers who are new to management at Middlesex University as part of their induction
