Microsoft Office Specialist in Excel – Foundation (MOS 1/4)
Not only could this session contribute to your training and preparation for the MOS exam for Excel 2010, but it can also be a stand-alone Excel session teaching you the fundamentals of the program.
In this session you will learn foundational skills to help you start to get the most out of Excel and give you a solid basis for learning more should you want or need to in the future.
Printing only selected worksheets
Using paste special (formats,) cutting, moving and selecting cell data
Copying data using AutoFill; filling series using AutoFill
Creating a hyperlink in a cell; removing a hyperlink
Aligning cell content; applying a number format; wrapping text in a cell; using Format Painter
Using Merge & Centre, Merge Across, Merge Cells, and Unmerge Cells
Printing row and column headings
Hiding a column; unhiding a column; hiding a series of columns; hiding a row; unhiding a row; hiding a series of rows
Configuring page orientation
Applying cell styles
Inserting worksheets; deleting worksheets; copying, repositioning, copying and moving, renaming, grouping; applying colouring to worksheet tabs; hiding worksheet tabs; unhiding worksheet tabs
Using Normal, Page Layout and Page Break workbook views
Using basic operators; revising formulas
Create charts based on worksheet data (Foundation)
Using sort options (values, font colour, cell colour)
