Active Learning through Objects and Spaces In-Person

Brief Outline -

DescriptionCAPE & the Faculty of Arts and Creative Industries (ACI) present the last Tuesday Takeaway (Forum for Learning and Teaching) of the year.

This workshop will consist of two sessions on: Object Based Learning; and Writing Spaces.

Object Based Learning

This session will take a look at the different ways the objects from the Museum of Domestic Design and Architecture (MoDA) can be used to support learning for Middlesex students from a range of disciplines. There will be an opportunity to see and handle objects from the museum's collections, and also to discuss ideas for a new project around video-based-pedagogy that will incorporate the development of students' digital skills.

Writing Spaces

Writing as practice, act and process: Francesca Murialdo from Interior Architecture and Ruth Bonazza from the Learning Enhancement Team will present their findings from a project on the diversity of writing practices and the relationship between these practices and spaces.
