Brief Outline

To provide a foundation level understanding of Databases and some of Microsoft Access 2010 features

 

Intended Outcomes

By the end of the course delegates will be able to demonstrate an understanding of a basic databases and be able to set up a table, enter data, sort and search data

  • Access Overview – Access Interface
  • Creating a Database from Scratch
    • Getting started creating a table
    • Setting basic field types
    • Introduction to Input Masks
    • Introduction to Field Properties
  • Entering and saving data
  • Sorting /searching a database table
  • Use Forms

Target Audience

Those seeking to gain a foundation grounding in Access 2010, be able to set up a basic database, filter data and use basic forms

Pre-requisites

No prior knowledge of Access is required but must have an understanding of PCs, including familiarity with a keyboard and mouse

Suitable for PC users.  Not suitable for Apple Macintosh users.
