Good practice in giving effective feedback to students

Brief Outline:

Feedback, when implemented successfully, can enhance the performance of students. However, the literature and student surveys (NSS results) consistently indicate that feedback continues to be an area of dissatisfaction across higher education and within Middlesex. Academic staff are also dissatisfied as they feel students do not utilise feedback to improve future work. This session is open to all staff including those who may be new to teaching and will provide the opportunity to review and discuss feedback techniques and ways in which students can be encouraged to engage with feedback.
