Success – what lies behind the mask In-Person

This masterclass uncovers the misconception that everyone else except you is capable and confident all the time. The term Imposter Phenomenon was coined by Pauline Rose Clance and Suzanne Imes in the 1970s and was first thought to only affect women. Since then research shows that around 70% of people, men and women, will at some point in their working lives experience the feeling of being a fraud and worry about being “found out”. The phenomenon affects those who are highly successful and very capable, but for some reason they don’t believe they are!

Presenter Kate Atkin discovered she has been living with her own imposter for years, and through her research found ways in which it can be overcome. This masterclass shares those strategies.

This session is part of the Change and Wellbeing Programme following feedback from the 2018 Staff Conference requesting further sessions throughout the year.
