Assessing students' learning from at and through work In-Person
While some courses have always had a work placement, it is becoming increasingly common for all to include some form of work experience as part of them. There are well-established, but little researched, ways of assessing the former. However, assessment in the latter is not so well developed. What can we learn from a study of students assessment experience in both kinds of course that will make assessment more effective and more meaningful to students?
In this seminar Professors David Boud and Carol Costley from the Work and Learning Research Centre will draw from the initial findings of a cross-university and cross-country study which explores these issues.
