An introduction to the Prevent Duty Online
Who should attend? This session is for all student-facing staff (compulsory); all other staff (optional).
Brief outline - The training will provide an overview of what the Prevent duty is and how Middlesex University staff should recognise, respond and report concerns.
Learning outcomes -
By the end of the session, attendees will learn about:
- what the Prevent Duty is and how it applies to higher education;
- how to recognise signs and indicators that a student may be at risk of being drawn into terrorism through radicalisation;
- how to respond proportionately and sensitively to concerns;
- how to report concerns and share information appropriately.
