Coaching Principles and Practice for Doctoral Supervisors In-Person / Online

This session aims to equip supervisor with some essential coaching notions to use to support and guiding postgraduate researchers throughout their journey. The session will cover: Goalsetting and motivation; Active listening and questioning techniques (Nancy Kline); Importance of positionality in scholarly work, including in supervisor-candidate relationship; Working in a supervisory team, taking into consideration the University as a stakeholder.
