Reasonable Adjustments Training Online

Session Overview
At MDX, we are dedicated to creating a workplace where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. This includes ensuring that colleagues with long-term health conditions or disabilities have the support they need to succeed.

Our approach is guided by the social model of disability, which recognises that barriers in society—not individual differences—are what truly disable people. These barriers can be physical or rooted in attitudes and misconceptions.

This session is a step toward dismantling those barriers by equipping staff with the knowledge and tools to create an inclusive environment. Together, we can ensure all staff have the support they need to reach their full potential.

What You’ll Gain
This training will:

  • Demystify the concept of reasonable adjustments.
  • Clarify the responsibilities of individuals, line managers, and HR in supporting colleagues.
  • Highlight pathways and processes for requesting adjustments.
  • Introduce the Reasonable Adjustment Passport and how it ensures consistent support during times of change.

What We’ll Cover
The session will cover various topics including:

  • Disability and the Equality Act 2010: What you need to know.
  • The meaning and importance of reasonable adjustments.
  • Key roles and responsibilities: HR, line managers, and you.
  • How to request reasonable adjustments effectively.
  • Support resources: Internal and external support options.
