Aim of lesson 

By the end of the course delegates will understand the purpose, nature and effect of statutory regulation of research security (the Export Controls regulations and the National Security and Investment Act 2021), sector guidance on Trusted Research and other aspects of research security in the context of UK higher education. The course will also touch on US Export Controls, aspects of the ATAS scheme and the framework of supporting legislation.
